Top Flight Contracting is one of the few Charlotte roofers able to offer Signature Select Workmanship Pro 25: 25 years of workmanship coverage backed by Atlas, not just by us, on top of a lifetime shingle warranty and 50 years of premium protection. We can offer it because we are an AtlasPRO+ Diamond Level and Atlas Certified Contractor.
Diamond Level is the top tier of the AtlasPRO+ contractor program, and it is earned rather than applied for. A contractor reaches it by installing the required number of Atlas Signature Select roofing systems and Atlas shingles with Scotchgard Protector. It is a record of work already done, which is the reason it is worth asking any roofer to show you theirs.
Atlas Certified Contractor is a separate accreditation, not a higher rung on the same ladder. It is the credential that carries the authorization to offer Atlas extended warranties. Diamond Level says how much Atlas work a contractor has put on roofs; Certified status is what lets that contractor register the extended coverage on yours. Top Flight Contracting holds both.

Lifetime algae coverage requires matching Scotchgard hip and ridge shingles. Every Signature Select tier requires the full Atlas system, meaning shingles, hip and ridge, underlayment over the full deck, ice and water, starter and ventilation, registered with Atlas after installation.
The lifetime algae coverage in the row above applies to StormMaster Shake, Pinnacle Impact, Pinnacle Sun and Pinnacle Pristine, the lines carrying 3M Scotchgard Protector. ProLam uses algae-resistant granules instead, so algae coverage on ProLam is 10 years at every tier on this chart. The premium protection periods on this chart are for the four Scotchgard lines. Under Signature Select, ProLam's premium protection period is 15 years; its terms under the higher tiers are set in the issued warranty document.
Five Atlas lines, all of them eligible for Signature Select registration. Four carry 3M Scotchgard Protector; ProLam uses algae-resistant granules instead. The right one depends on your roof, not on a sample board.
130 mph wind coverage
The value architectural laminate in the Atlas range, and one of the two lines we install most in Charlotte alongside Pinnacle Pristine. It is built in the HP42 wide format, carries a lifetime limited warranty with a 15-year premium protection period, and holds Class 3 impact resistance and eligibility for Signature Select registration. Its 130 mph wind coverage is written for the six-nail pattern, which is how we nail it. ProLam uses algae-resistant granules rather than 3M Scotchgard Protector, so its algae coverage runs 10 years instead of the lifetime coverage the Scotchgard lines carry. On a shaded lot or a north-facing plane that stays damp, that is the reason to step up to Pinnacle Pristine.
130 mph wind coverage
The Atlas flagship architectural shingle and the one we install most often in Charlotte. It carries 3M Scotchgard Protector, Class 3 impact resistance, FORTIFIED Roof readiness, and thirteen nationally available colors. Scotchgard is the piece that matters in the Piedmont: copper-containing granules in a porous ceramic coating release copper ions slowly over the life of the roof, which is what stops the black streaking from taking hold.

The reflective line, built with 3M Cool Roofing Granules and produced to meet Cool Roof Rating Council standards for Solar Reflectance Index, reaching SRI up to 25 depending on color. A west-facing plane takes full afternoon load for hours in a Charlotte summer, and the higher the SRI, the cooler the surface under the same sun. Actual savings depend on your attic ventilation, insulation, HVAC and shade, so we will not promise you a percentage off the power bill. It also carries 3M Scotchgard Protector, Class 3 impact resistance and 3M Smog-Reducing Granules.

The impact-rated shingle in the Pinnacle family, carrying a Class 4 rating, the highest UL 2218 impact classification, alongside 3M Scotchgard Protector and lifetime algae coverage under every Signature Select tier. If your roof has already taken hail once, this is the line to talk about. Whether an impact rating earns you anything on your policy is a question for your own insurer, not for us.
150 mph wind coverage
The Atlas storm line, built on Core4 polymer modified technology with a Class 4 impact rating and the highest wind coverage of the five, plus Class A fire resistance, 3M Scotchgard Protector and 3M Smog-Reducing Technology. It reads as a hand-split shake from the street. StormMaster Shake is available by special order, so build a little lead time into the schedule.

Both are quality shingle manufacturers and Top Flight Contracting is credentialed with both programs: AtlasPRO+ Diamond Level and Atlas Certified Contractor on one side, CertainTeed ShingleMaster on the other. Neither is our house brand and neither gets recommended by default.
What actually decides it is the roof and the budget in front of us. Color availability against your siding and trim, the impact or reflectivity you need for that specific elevation, what the two warranty programs each cover on the system you are buying, and where the number lands. We will lay both out and tell you which one we would put on our own house and why. If a contractor only ever quotes one manufacturer, that is worth a question.

Diamond Level is the top tier of the AtlasPRO+ contractor program. It is the top tier on Atlas's Signature Select chart. On a full registered Atlas system it carries a lifetime shingle warranty, a 50-year premium protection period, 25 years of Atlas-backed workmanship coverage, lifetime algae coverage on qualifying lines, and tear-off and disposal. Only Certified and Diamond Level contractors can offer it.
The shingle warranty itself is lifetime. The premium protection period is the first 50 years of it, the window in which the strongest coverage terms apply before the warranty steps down to its ongoing lifetime limited terms. On ProLam the period is 15 years. Exact settlement terms are set by Atlas in the issued warranty document, which we hand you after registration.
Transfer terms are set by Atlas and spelled out in the warranty document issued for your roof, not by us, so read that document before you list the house. We register the warranty in your name and give you the confirmation, which is what a buyer's agent will ask for. Call us and we will walk you through it.
No. Atlas requires registration within 60 days with proof of purchase for all system components. Top Flight Contracting handles the registration and provides the homeowner with the confirmation. You do not chase paperwork, and you do not lose coverage because a form went in late or a component receipt went missing.
No. The Workmanship Pro 25 tier is limited to Diamond Level contractors with Certified status. The lower Signature Select tiers are open to any installer or to Gold Select and Certified contractors, but the 25-year workmanship column is not. Ask any roofer quoting it to show you their current Atlas certificates.

Every Signature Select tier covers algae for the lifetime of the warranty on those lines.
